Central Control Panel Removal
The Ammeter indicates whether the trailer
battery is being charged.
If discharge is
indicated, reduce your power usage. The
Univolt System charges the battery only to
the extent of any surplus over and above the
electrical demands you make. The battery will
not be able to recharge until the power usage
is reduced. Therefore, before leaving on a trip,
conserve power usage the night before to
insure a fully charged battery.
The Water Pump Switch, when on, also lights
up the indicator light. On trailers without a
Central Control Panel, this switch is in the
galley area. For a complete discussion of the
pump, please refer to page 47.
The Water Level Indicator Lights show the
Stereo Tape and AM/FM Radio
amount of water in the water tank. Press the
button and the light will show: "1/2" when
the tank is at least half full, "1/4" when the
tank is at least 1/4 but less than half, and
"0-0" when it is less than one quarter full. If
no lights show, the tank is nearly empty. In
rare cases, when the tank has been filled with
very pure water, as from a mountain stream,
the indicator lights may not work at all.
The Holding Tank Level indicates "1/2" when
it reaches half full, and "3/4" when it reaches
the three quarters full mark.
The Power-On Light will glow automatically
when you are hooked up to city power. This
light and the polarity warning light are your
checks on a proper 120 volt connection.
The Thermometer indicates the outside tem¬
perature, and the minimum and maximum
temperatures reached since the last setting.
The lowest temperature reached the night
before and the highest temperature reached
■during the day may be determined by re¬
setting the pointers the night before. To reset
the pointers turn the center adjusting knob on
the bezel clockwise and counterclockwise
until the pointers are against the temperature
hand. Do not apply excessive pressure against
the temperature hand.
Access to the rear of the Central Control
Panel is necessary for replacement of: the
clock battery, panel light bulbs and the water
pump fuse. To get behind, remove the attach¬
ing screws, grasp the center, pull down, and
swing the panel out and forward.
The Excella has a Motorola AM-FM multiplex
radio (stereo), and 8 track cartridge tape
deck.
It has
controls with an additional
"fadar" which allows the front speakers to be
turned on by themselves, or the rear speakers
by themselves, or any combination of front or
rear speakers.
The 8-Track Stereo Tape Cartridge Player
incorporates solid state circuitry and auto¬
matic program change. To operate:
1. Turn tape player on by inserting tape
cartridge into tape slot (label side up and
open end first) until it is firmly seated.
2. Adjust left and right VOLUME controls
for desired sound level between speakers.
Adjust the TONE control for desired bass
or treble response.
