Safety Instructions
X Danger of fire!
Lenses in optical devices can cause significant damage by focusing light
to generate heat if handled or stored improperly. Be careful never to leave
optical lenses lying in direct sunlight!
X Danger of glare and injury!
Never look directly into the sun or other bright light sources using optical
devices! 159960: Never look directly into the light source.
X Protect your magnifying light from impacts, moisture and excess heat.
Never lay your magnifying light on a radiator or in direct sunlight.
X Risk of tripping! Make certain that the power cord does not pose a risk!
X Do not wind the power cord around the magnifying light.
X Do not use the magnifying light in the vicinity of water-filled containers
(e.g. bath tub)!
X Inform other persons, particularly children, of these dangers.
Notes on usage
X Connect the mains adapter e to a power socket.
A slight warming of the mains device and lamp during operation is normal.
The illuminated magnifier can be left plugged in when not in use (switched off).
X When the lens is not standing horizontal, pull the foot q from the handle
until it engages.
X If the foot bothers you, press the snap-in pin w and slide the foot into the
handle.
The distance between the lens and the text to be read is optimal when the illumi-
nated magnifier is lying on the page.
X Switch the illuminated magnifier on by sliding the switch r in the direction
of the lens.
X Now place the illuminated magnifier on the text to be read.
X Guide the illuminated magnifier with the handle t over the text to be read.
X After use, switch the illuminated magnifier off by sliding the switch t to
the rear.
If you do not like the colour of the light, your optician can adjust the light colour
with the supplied coloured LED-Caps y.
If the light is too strong, the brightness can be reduced by using the switch r.
