Valve Clearance Adjustment
Caution: Valve clearance test should be carried out under normal coolant temperature (15- 25°C) , and the valve
clearance should be measured when cylinder head and cylinder block are assembled together.
1.
Dismount the camshaft cover, and please refer to "replacement of camshaft cover".
2.
Turn the crank belt pulley according to the diagram and adjust the belt pulley groove to the "0" point.
This is in order to adjust #1 cylinder to the top dead center.
3.
Check the camshaft sprocket and the timing chain, and align the timing marks respectively.
4.
Measure the valve clearance of each point according to the diagram.
5.
Turn the crank belt pulley to 360°, and adjust the belt pulley groove to the "0" point.
6.
Measure the valve clearance for each point according to the diagram.

Intake valve specifications: 0.075-0.125 mm(coolant temperature: 20°C)

Exhaust valve specifications: 0.245-0.305 mm(coolant temperature: 20°C)
7.
If measured values are beyond the specifications, then valve tappets need to be replaced.
