Instructions for Use:
1. Turn the meter on and place the photo sensor parallel to the ground so that the white cell faces
up towards the light source.
2. Adjust the foot candle switch between the x1, x10, and x100 settings to find the proper reading.
The display will reach a maximum point and display "1" if the measured light source is too
intense and one or more zeros if a lower setting is needed. At this point adjust the switch to a
higher or lower setting so that an accurate reading may be obtained.
3. Multiply the number on the display by whichever setting is used i.e. x1, x10, and x100. The
product is the amount of foot candles at the location of the photo sensor.
Replacing the Battery:
1. Make sure the power switch is in the "OFF" position.
2. Slide the cover off of the unit in the direction indicated by the "OPEN" arrows.
