Fault and warning messages

The fault and warning messages in the ACS880 primary control
program are these:

Cause
The FPTC module in
option slot 1 indicates
overtemperature in the
XFLT input (safety
related).
1. Motor temperature is
too high, or
2. the thermistor is in
short-circuit or
disconnected.
The FPTC module in
option slot 2 indicates
overtemperature in the
XFLT input (safety
related). See 4991.
The FPTC module in
option slot 3 indicates
overtemperature in the
XFLT input (safety
related). See 4991.
A thermistor protection
module has been
activated by parameter
35.30
but cannot be
detected.
The last digit of the
auxiliary code identifies
the slot.
What to do
1. Check the cooling of the
motor.
2. Check the motor load
and drive ratings.
3. Check the wiring of the
temperature sensor.
Repair wiring if faulty.
4. Measure the resistance
of the sensor. Replace
the sensor if faulty.
Power down the control
unit and check that the
module is properly
inserted in the correct slot.
