COMMISSIONING
WARNING: 230 Volts is present on the underside of the
printed circuit assembly.
1. Set all mode switches to ON.
2. Adjust the timer controls to zero (fully anticlockwise). Relay 1
will time out in 4 seconds, Relay 2 in 8 (if applicable) enabling
the unit to be 'walk tested'.
3. Set both range controls fully anticlockwise.
4. Leave the area until the lights go off and then re-enter.
5. Adjust the ON range control clockwise to increase sensitivity,
ensuring all areas are covered and that the lights are kept on
with minimal movement.
Swivel the detector head to give
best coverage - by experimenting with various orientations,
the range control can be kept to a minimum setting.
6. Leave the area and wait for the lights to turn off. Wait a further
10 seconds then re-enter. Adjust the OFF range control
clockwise until the lights are switched on ONLY AS THE
AREA IS ENTERED.
*When set fully anticlockwise the OFF range is equal to
the ON range.
7. With the room empty, ensure that there are no spurious
movement signals liable to cause interference. Check this
with ventilation and other machinery running.
interference sources are: fans turning, flapping notices,
flashing fluorescent lights, running water etc.
At the end of their useful
life the packaging and
product should be
disposed of via a suitable
recycling centre.

8. Set the MODE switch to give the desired functions. (See Modes
of Operation over.)
9. Set the OFF DELAY controls as required - each control has a
range of 0 to 16 minutes. A setting of around 5 - 10 minutes is
usually appropriate.
Off Delay O/P1 relates to Relay 1 - Off Delay O/P2 relates to
Relay 2. Note that O/P2 commences to time out after O/P1 has
expired, therefore with O/P2 set to zero both circuits will time out
together.
10. Lock the detector head into position before leaving (see detector
instructions).
