CYRUS 6 & 8 – Quiescent Current

Quiescent current setting

Switch off the power to the amplifier.
Check that the amplifier is not set for PSX-R use.
Connect mV meter to SK205 and no signal to input.
Switch on the amplifier at the rear with nominal mains voltage: 230/115Vrms, and
bring out of standby.
Adjust the quiescent setting preset RV201 so that the meter reads 5.5mV
Proceed to connect the test meter to SK206. Adjust the quiescent setting preset
RV202 so that the meter 5.5mV.
Leave the amplifier to stabilise for fifteen minutes and repeat the adjustments for both
channels, taking the setting to 3.2mV 0.5mV.
Check periodically and adjust if necessary to 3.2mV 0.5mV until settled. Also ensure
nominal mains voltage has not drifted.
