CANdi Fault Screen

NOTE: Do not perform a VCI self-test while the CANdi module is connected. If the CANdi
module is connected and an error screen occurs, disconnect the CANdi module from the
Tech2 and perform the test again.
The screen shown below is displayed when the Tech2 does not detect the CANdi module.
This can occur under the following conditions:
The CANdi module is not connected to the Tech2, or
A problem occurred during start-up that prevented the Tech2 from configuring the
CANdi module.
If this occurs, power the Tech2 off and start again. If the problem persists, follow the
troubleshooting tests.
It is also possible to connect a CANdi module after the Tech2 has been powered up via the
VCI. If this occurs, the Tech2 will not detect CANdi module and will not properly
communicate, even if the LED is flashing on the CANdi module. Power off the Tech2 and
start again.
The screen displayed in occurs when the Tech2 loses communication with the CANdi
module. This could be a result of the following:
VCI not properly seated in the Tech2 slot
