Set Up
Start with the Meter off. Do not insert
a Test Strip.
1. Hold down the
button until Meter
beeps and full Display appears. Meter
is now in Set Up mode.
For more detailed information, including a troubleshooting guide, refer to the Owner's Booklet.
1. Wash hands with warm, soapy water.
2. Remove Test Strip from vial and
recap vial immediately.
3. With Meter off, insert Test Strip
(Contacts facing up) into Test Port.
Meter turns on.
WARNING!
NEVER reuse Test Strips. NEVER wipe test Strips with water, alcohol or
any cleaner. DO NOT attempt to remove blood or control sample from
Test Strips or clean Test Strips and re-use. Reuse of Test Strips can cause
inaccurate results. NEVER add a second drop of sample to the Strip.
Adding more sample gives an error message.

2. The number for the hour

4. Lance finger. Let a blood drop form.
5. Place Sample Tip of Test Strip against
blood drop and allow blood to be
drawn into Strip. Remove Sample Tip
from blood drop immediately after
Meter beeps and starts to countdown
on Meter Display.

4. The number for the month

6. Repeat Step 4 for year.
CAUTION! Holding the Test Strip Sample
Tip to the blood sample too long after the
Meter begins testing may cause inaccurate
results.
NEVER add a second drop of sample to
the Strip. Adding more sample gives an
error message.
Blood is drawn into Test Strip until
Meter beeps. (See Note below).
6. After countdown, glucose result
is displayed with date/time.
Remove Test Strip and
discard. Meter turns off. Test
result is stored in Meter's Memory.
Note: Discard Test Strip if Meter did
not begin testing within 5 seconds after
placing Tip of Test Strip against blood
drop. Repeat test with new Strip and new
blood sample. If problem persists, see
Troubleshooting in the Owner's Booklet.
