2) The Channel Store will display a selection of channels that you can
navigate to choose the ones you'd like to add to "My channels".
3) Use the arrow buttons on your remote control to browse through the
channels.
4) Once you've found a channel that you like, select it.
5) Select either "Add" or "Buy". This will depend on the channel: some
channels are for free and some others you have to pay for them.
6) At this point, your Roku Channel Store may prompt you to type your
PIN.
7) You can go to the channel immediately by selecting "go to channel"
and start enjoying your purchase.
TIP: Both Android and IOs Roku apps are available for download.
These will carry the basic remote functions. Both of course, given that
you'll be able to use your touchscreen, this will come particularly handy
when using the Roku "Search" option.
Before moving on to installing private channels, let's look into the PIN
on your Roku account.
A PIN is a four-digit code that will secure your purchases in the Roku
Channel Store. It can prevent accidental purchases, and if you're living with
more people, this will prevent anyone else from charging purchases to your
account. If you're living with children, it prevents little hands from clicking
away and possibly buying the whole Channel Store. This is very important
because Roku (generally) doesn't give refunds on purchases.
3.1 Setting   u p   P in
To set up a PIN:
1. When you're creating your account, you may be prompted to
add a PIN, a four-digit code, between entering your email and
password, and entering your billing details.
2. If you didn't enter a PIN code when you were setting up your
account, you can still do it afterwards.
3. Log into your Roku account from a computer.
4. Click on "update" next to Pin Preference under "Channel
Store PIN".
5. You can choose to never require a PIN, to require a PIN for
purchases only or to require a PIN even for free channels.
This controls what content is streamed but is not the
equivalent of Parental Control.
