4. OPERATION
4.1.
CHARGING THE UNIT.
4.1.1. The unit will charge when plugged into mains supply regardless of function switch position. To achieve fastest charge put function switch to
the 'OFF' position.
4.1.2. Open the power cable compartment at the back of the light. Uncoil the power cable and plug it into the mains power supply. The red LED
will light to indicate the presence of mains power.
4.1.3. The battery pack will take approximately 20 hours to charge initially. Subsequent charging times will depend on the state of discharge of the
battery pack.
4.1.4. When charging is complete unplug the mains power cable and stow it back in the compartment.
4.2.
USING THE Light.
4.2.1. Select the required tube combination using the function switch. The function switch has three positions:-
1 Tube - OFF -
4.2.2. The light will function as an emergency light if the function switch is placed in either the 1 or 2 tube position whilst connected to the mains.
In case of a mains electricity failure, the selected number of tubes will light. Restoration of mains power will switch the light off again.
4.2.3. After a full charge the light will run for approximately 1hr 30min on two tubes and 3hrs on one tube.
NOTE! The green LED will illuminate whenever a tube should be lit. If the tubes DO NOT light and the green LED is illuminated,
suspect an unserviceable tube. The light has a TEST button feature to test the tubes. When the TEST button is pressed the
tubes should light up if connected to the mains. If any tubes fail to light up, they are likely to be unserviceable.
