The PI<-500 Pass& Infrared Motion detector is a wall mounted unit
which senses changes in infrared energy (temperature) witliin the
prolcc~ed area. \Ww~

intruder enters any of the detection zones,
an alarm is triggered. Best coverage will be obtained if the unit is
mounted such ttlal the likely direction of intruder motion is LYXKY
the protection pattern (see Figure 1).
The YK5OO also features a jumper selectable l'utse Count option,
which verifies inlrtlsions before triggerilig a11 alarm. With ttie Pulse
Count optinn enabled, an alarm is triggered after an intruder's first
13-4 steps. This option is helpful in areas where sudden changes in
lemperature are normat (forced air heating duct for example).
