INTRODUCTION The TDB001 Remote Control Tester has been designed to offer a quick and accurate way to test radio frequency (RF) remote controls and also infra red (IR) remote controls. The TDB001 offers a simple check that the remote is sending a signal, but more important that the frequency it is sending is correct.

Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Replace the rear cover. SWITCHING THE UNIT ON Press the button on the front panel once to turn unit on. The tester will power up, displaying version information and self check info. TDB001! PAGE 5 VERSION 1.0! 01/01/2013...

Switch the unit ON, and wait for the self check to finish so that a 0 is displayed. Point the Infra Red Remote control towards the top of the unit as shown. If there is a signal being sent the tester will display ‘Infra’. TDB001! PAGE 6 VERSION 1.0!
