Shift + F Keys - sComm UbiDuo User Manual

There are three other key combinations used with the function keys: the
Shift key, the Control (Ctrl) key, and the Alt key.

Shift + F Keys

Press either Shift key and the desired function key at the same time to
perform the following tasks:
Show Shift function key definitions.
<Shift>F1
This action is available in any mode.
Show or hide the chat toolbar on the Split Screen.
<Shift>F2
This action is only available when you are chatting.
View all potential chat partners (units, wireless
<Shift>F3 connections) in range.
This action is available in any mode.
Return to Home screen/Main Menu.
<Shift>F4
This action is only available when you are chatting.
Change your font sizes.
This action is only available when you are chatting, and
<Shift>F5
you can only change the font on the half of the UbiDuo you
are using.
End an active chat session.
Your conversation is not affectedwhen you end the
chat.This will allow you to save the conversation after a
<Shift>F6
chat session has ended.This key is only active when you
are chatting and only ends the conversation on your half of
the UbiDuo.
Clear the Split Screen.
This action clears the conversation from the Split Screen
<Shift>F7 but does not close the chat session. This is only active
when you are chatting, and it only clears the screen on
your half of the UbiDuo.
View or set the Unit's ID.
<Shift>F8
This action is available in any mode.
View or set the Unit's Designated Chat Partner.
<Shift>F9
This action is available in any mode.
