    The vehicle will now be under control of the remote start system. Turn your ignition switch off, WITHOUT, stepping on the brake, and exit the vehicle. Lock the doors with the key to insure security. CA2LED5 / AS9234E 4280852 Owners rev A.
  • Page 4 Remote Start Shutdown: To cancel the remote vehicle start function, press and release the button 2 times within 2 seconds. Timed Start Program: The Remote Start unit has the ability to start the vehicle automatically at timed intervals. This feature is useful in extremely cold climates where starting the engine is the only means to keep the battery charged and fluids warm.

  • Page 6 Manually Overriding Your Alarm System (Alarm Systems Only): Using the Dash Mounted PBLED Push-Button Valet/Override Switch your Security System can be disarmed without the use of the keychain transmitter. This is necessary, since you will need the ability to operate your vehicle if the transmitter is lost or its battery fails.

  • Page 8 Manually Overriding Your system - Using the Custom Code: Assuming the override code programmed has not been changed, and the default override code of 11 is in the system’s memory. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to the on position. NOTE: The siren will sound.

    Replacing Remote Control Batteries 4 Button Remote Control - Model CAT4M The battery inside each remote control should last approximately 1 year under normal use. When the battery becomes weak you will notice the remote control range (the distance from the vehicle the remote control will work) deteriorate and the small LED on the remote control will dim.
