managing

5 separate

regions.

region containing the
Hand-Held
O/S
must always be
resident,
and
at
the
same
address.

other
four
regions
may
be removable,
and
located
at
any
address.
When
the
BIOS
transfers control
to
the
MS
code
at
power up
it
supplies
to
the
HH
O/S a
pointer
to
a
table describing the
number
and
locations
of
the
ROMs
installed
in
the
machine
at
that time.
