3-5-6. SSP-27A Board/SSP-27B Board (DEC-177 Board)

When the SSP-27A/27B board is replaced, the serial number on the SMS GUI and the certifi cate are
changed. Therefore, it is required to set the time, operate Marriage, obtain the certifi cate, obtain the serial
number on SMS GUI and obtain the product serial number to re-register TDL. In the case that the SSP-
27/27A board is removed and installed without being replaced, it is also required to operate Marriage and
set the time. For details, refer to the manual supplied with SMS.
When replacing the SSP-27 board and SSP-27A board, perform the procedure according to the following
table.

Before replacing the SSP-27/27A board with the SSP-27B board, it is required to upgrade the main unit
side. For the details of the upgrade procedure, contact your local Sony Sales Offi ce/Service Center.

Replacement procedure
1. SSP-27 board/SSP-27A board/SSP-27B board
1. Remove the two screws, then pull out the SSP-27
board assembly, SSP-27A board assembly, SSP-27B
board assembly in the direction of the arrow while
holding the handles.

Replacement method
Replace with a new SSP-27B board. (The APR-85 board is unnecessary.)
Replace with a new SSP-27B board.
