    All warnings and all instructions are essential to the proper opera- tion of the water heater and your safety. Since we can- not put everything on the first few pages, READ THE ENTIRE MANUAL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL OR OPERATE THE WATER HEATER.

    If this water heater is also used for space heating applica- tions, all piping and components connected to the water heater shall be suitable for use with potable water.

    Installing the New Water Heater Securing Water Heater to Floor and Wall The water heater must be secured to the floor and to the wall of the enclosure with the three mounting brackets and screws packaged in the carton with the water heater.

    The water heater must be connected to a roof jack: The vent DRAFT pipe from the water heater to the roof jack must be no less HOOD than the diameter of the draft hood outlet (min. 3 inches) on the water heater.
