Detour

As you follow the guidance provided by your Navigation, you
may wish to find an alternative route that avoids a certain
length of the road ahead. For example, you may hear
on the radio that the road ahead is heavily congested. In such
a situations, "Detour" may be able to find a route around the
congestion by taking a less direct route at upcoming
intersections.
1. Touch the distance from the list.
You select the desired distance button, a pop-up asking
"Do you want to perform Detour?" appears.
2. Pressing the "OK" button performs Detour.
Route calculation starts automatically.
3. The "ROUTE OVERVIEW" screen appears on the screen.
If searching is completed, the initial path and bypass path
appear at the same time. You can select a desired path to
be used.
Notes
• Depending on the road layout, the actual length of the
calculated detour may differ somewhat from the specified
distance. Also, the calculated detour may be longer than the
original route.
• Depending on the road layout and road conditions, the
Detour function may fail to find an alternative route.
• In some cases, the detour route may overlap the original
route for some distance.
• On the map screen during route guidance, try this
operation.
