2. Connecting to ADSL or NBN (FTTB/FTTN)

Connect phone wall socket to "DSL" port using supplied telephone cable.

Plug-in power adaptor, connect to "Power" port.
If your phone service is with an alternative telco, connect your handset as below:

Connect telephone cable to "Line" port of splitter. Then:
a) "Modem" port of splitter to "DSL" port of the modem.
b) "Phone" port of splitter to telephone.
Wired devices will connect to "LAN" ports of the modem via Ethernet cables.

Wireless devices will connect over Wi-Fi. See 'connecting wireless devices' on the following
page.
If you are using MyNetFone for your phone service:

Connect your telephone via the "Phone 1" port.

3. Connecting wireless devices
1.
Find the sticker on the back of your
modem. This will tell you the name
of your wireless network (SSID) and
your security password (WLAN Key).
2.
On your device, scan for available
Wi-Fi networks. This may take a few
minutes depending on your device.
3.
Enter the security password (WLAN
Key) to connect your wireless device.
Note: The SSID ending in "5G" provides
better performance but has shorter range
compared to standard (2.4G) Wi-Fi. The
5G Wi-Fi network may not be supported
by all devices.
4. Customise modem settings
It's easy to change your password,
network name and other modem settings
via the Huawei web portal. To login:
1.
Connect an Ethernet cable from your
modem to your computer
2.
Open a web browser
3.
Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
4.
Enter the default username and
password when prompted (these are
case sensitive):
Username: user
Password: HuaweiUser
