    BASIC INFORMATION Dear customer, From today, washing will be easier than ever before. Your Amica washer-dryer is exception- ally easy to use and extremely efficient. After reading these Operating Instructions, operating the appliance will be easy. Before being packaged and leaving the manufacturer, the appliance was thoroughly checked with regard to safety and functionality.

    NOTES ON SAFETY Use only those detergents and additives which l Detergents are designed for automatic washing machines, especially when using the COTTON 90°C programme. Do not use any agents containing solvents, as these may damage certain parts of the appli- ance, or cause them to emit poisonous gases.

  • Page 7 NOTES ON SAFETY Checking stability Once the appliance is in position and levelled, it must be checked to ensure it rests firmly on all four legs. In order to check this, press down each corner of the appli- ance in turn to see if it moves. Safe, long-term and reliable operation of the appliance depends on it being correctly positioned and level.

Programme selector knob Choose the appropriate wash, dry or combined wash-dry programme as required, de- pending on the degree of soil, and type and amount of laundry loaded, which ensures better results and more effective washing. Once the wash programme is started, turning the programme selector knob to another position (except ) does not change the previ- ously selected programme.

Set the drying level: You can select one of the three drying levels: a) Level 1: Iron dry — recommended for the laundry to be ironed after drying. b) Level 2: Hanger dry — recommended for the laundry to be hung on a hanger after drying.

    SPECIAL PROGRAMMES 1. The Allergy Safe programme: This programme is designed for washing clothes of children and people with sensi- tive skin. Main wash is carried out at a temperature of 60°C (temperature setting: 60/50/40/30/-- "cold water"), followed by four rinses. Additionally, during all stages of rinsing water is heated to 30°C.

    USING THE APPLIANCE I. Select Programme 1. Set the programme selector knob to the desired programme (see the table further on). 2. In order to adapt the programme to your individual needs, you can set the tempera- ture, spin speed, set the drying level, drying time or set a delayed start. 3.

    TABLE OF PROGRAMMES Washing and Drying drying Wash programmes Programmes programmes * - standard programmes for washing cotton fabrics at 60 °C. This programme is suitable for washing normally soiled cotton fabrics. This is the most effective programme for washing these type of fabrics, taking into account the total energy and water consumption.

    MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Never clean the product’s casing or plastic parts using solvents or strong, abrasive detergents (e.g. washing powders or creams)! Use mild liquid detergents and soft cloths only. Do not use sponges. Clean the pump filter every 20 wash- es or so.

The appliance detects partial load. For partial load, when using the Cotton programme, the appliance will reduce water and energy consumption and shorten the wash cycle.

Before spinning, this checks the distribution of clothes inside the distribution control drum.
