Customer Setup instructions (Draft)

Introduction

As part of the installation process for Managed Wireless Access you will be sent an Accelerated
6300-CX LTE Router, which has the possibility to be placed away from the ATTgate 8300 where
Cellular coverage may be better.
When the box arrives it should have been configured during our staging process and the SIM card
inserted.

This will also include a country power tip for the power supply. Note an additional power supply is
needed for the 6300-CX LTE Router, in addition to one for the ATTgate 8300 and the DSL Modem (if
ordered)

    If the site survey finds that a location away from the 8300 AT&T VPN gateway is giving better signal, arrange internal Cat-5/6 Ethernet cabling between the locations Should the location be away from a power outlet then the PoE injector can be used near the ATTgate 8300, and the 6300-CX fed remotely.
  • Page 4 Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) injector cable will usually simplify the installation cabling and allow for improved cellular signal strength. The POE injector cable allows the DC power and Ethernet connection to be run to the Accelerated 6300-CX via the Ethernet connection only.
