Manufacturer Recommendation
A strainer filtering potable water before entering the boiler is highly recommended to prevent
errors and lockouts. The stainer prevents any sedimentation and debris from your water supply
piping from entering the boiler. Debris carried from the water supply will clog DHW water flow
sensor resulting in error codes and causing boiler to lockout.
Locate the stainer as close to the boiler as possible and place on DHW (domestic hot water) inlet
connection located at bottom of the boiler.
