Note:
Find a location for your ice maker that is protected from
direct sunlight and other sources of heat — stove, furnace,
radiator, etc. Place the ice maker on a level surface and
ensure there is at least 8" of space between walls or
cabinets and the back, sides, and top of unit.
WARNING:
Do not tip unit over. During transportation, the incline
angle of the machine should not be over 45°. Do not turn
the ice maker upside down, as this may damage the
compressor. If the unit has been tipped, allow the
refrigerant fluid to settle for several hours before plugging
in the unit.
INITIAL CLEANING:
1. Ensure the drain stopper is in place.
2. Open the lid and pour 2 cups water and ¼ cup vinegar into the water
reservoir. Close the lid.
3. Plug the ice maker into an electrical outlet. The ICE indicator light will
blink.
4. Press ON/OFF to begin the ice making cycle.
5. Discard all of the ice; after several cycles, drain any remaining vinegar
water from the reservoir using the drain stopper. Use a paper
towel, if needed, to mop up residue in the reservoir.
