Food storage advices
General advices
Before placing food items in the freezer, wrap them carefully. This prevents food odor and taste transfer
throughout freezer.
Also let enough space at the front so the door can close tightly.
Keep the seal clean and soft in order to don't lose cold air.
If there is some power interruption, please don not open the doors in order to keep inside the cold air.
Frozen food storage
The freezer compartment is designed for storing frozen food and for freezing food at home.
After defrost, never freeze another time the food.
Put in adapted protective bag or container all foods.
We advise you to split the food in small quantity.
Energy savings
By removing carton and package before putting food in the freezer, you reduce the power consumption because
freezer cools down quickly the food.
By overfilling your appliances, you push the compressor to work during a long time: so you increase your power
consumption.
Never put warm food in the freezer: let it be cool down until the room temperature before storing.
When you defrost some frozen food, put it in the freezer: the defrosting energy is used to cool down other food
instead of use compressor power.
Keep the seal clean and soft in order to don't lose cold air.
Keep the door close and open the freezer only when necessary. Remember that each time you open the door, the
cold air is lost and you overwork the compressor.
For best performance, leave enough space in the freezer for air to circulate around the packages.
