Whe n the dis c tra y is fully ope ne d, the e dge of the compute r will cove r the
dis c tra y s lightly. The re fore , you will ne e d to turn the dis c a t a n a ngle whe n
you pla ce it in the dis c tra y. Afte r s e a ting the dis c, howe ve r, ma ke s ure it
lie s fla t.
Do not touch the la s e r le ns or a ny portion of its s urrounding ca s ing a s
this could ca us e mis a lignme nt.
P re ve nt fore ign obje cts from e nte ring the drive . Che ck the s urfa ce of
the dis c tra y, e s pe cia lly the a re a be hind the front e dge of the dis c tra y,
to ma ke s ure the re a re no s uch obje cts be fore clos ing the drive .
4. P re s s ge ntly a t the ce nte r of the dis c until you fe e l it click into pla ce .
The dis c s hould lie be low the top of the s pindle , flus h with the s pindle
ba s e .
5. P us h the ce nte r of the dis c tra y to clos e it. P re s s ge ntly until it locks
into pla ce .
If the dis c is not s e a te d prope rly whe n the dis c tra y is clos e d, the dis c might
be da ma ge d. Als o, the dis c tra y might not ope n fully whe n you pre s s the
e je ct button.

To re move the dis c, follow the s te ps a s de ta ile d be low:
Do not pre s s the e je ct button while the compute r is a cce s s ing the optica l
dis c drive . Wa it for the optica l dis c drive indica tor to go out be fore you ope n
the dis c tra y. Als o, if the dis c is s pinning whe n you ope n the dis c tra y, wa it
for it to s top be fore you re move it.
1. To pop the dis c tra y pa rtia lly ope n, pre s s the e je ct button. Ge ntly pull
the dis c tra y out until it is fully ope ne d.
