Setup Device / Connect I/O First of all, you should install HMIWorks in your PC. HMIWorks is the development tools for TouchPAD programs. -

3.1.1. Setup TPD-280 Configuration mode: In the back of the TPD-280, configuration modes can be found. Use the rotary switch to set the configuration mode. Mode Description This mode is used for running programs. Run Only This mode is used for updating programs. -

3.1.2. Setup TPD-283 Configuration mode: In the back of the TPD-283, configuration modes can be found. Use the rotary switch to set the configuration mode. Mode Description This is a special run mode which is used in the Run & development phase. - Page 14 “Search TouchPad …” first. Clicking on the searched TPD-283 shows the “Setup Ethernet Device” window. Choose the IP type, DHCP or Static, for the new program and then press OK. Run Run to download the new program. Note1: MAC address can be found in the back of TPD-283. HMIWorks uses MAC to search TouchPAD.

Unlike TPD-280 and TPD-283, Users need not “Setup Device” in the Run menu but users must install USB driver in their PC first instead. Install TouchPAD USB Driver To install DFU (Device Firmware Update) driver allows user to download programs to TouchPAD via USB port.

Thus it can prevent not-smooth gradient phenomenon of the loading picture but costs more storage space. -

5. Make a Simple Project 5.1. Integrate TPD-280 with I/O In this example, we use TPD-280 to control an I-7066, the relay output module of ICP DAS. First, put I-7066 in the same RS-485 network of TPD-280 and configure I-7066 with DCON Utility (baudrate, data bit, parity, stop bit, Net ID). - Page 29 3. Setup Device Refer to “Setup Devices” in the chapter 3 for details. 4. Compile and Download to Run After connecting to TouchPAD, press F9 to run (or Run Run).
