Changing Camera Mode

The procedure below is a general guideline for basic operation. It is particularly useful if you are
new to the camera.
Your camera has three main modes:
1)
Photo Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture photos with your camera.
2)
Video Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture videos with your camera.
3)
Playback Mode (for photos and videos) - Use this mode to view the photos and videos
you have already taken with your camera.
Power On
Press the
Power/
• Be sure that you have removed the lens cover before turning on the camera.
• When the camera is first powered ON, the Photo Capture Mode will be active.
• The icons that appear on the LCD screen are the best default settings so that you can begin to
capture and enjoy clear quality photos.
Photo Capture Mode
When in Photo Capture Mode, this icon displays on the top-left corner of the LCD display.
1)
Set the Mode Dial to the desired photo shooting mode.
2)
If you need to use the flash for shooting, open the flash.
3)
Use the Zoom lever to zoom-in/zoom-out on the subject.
4)
Press the Shutter button halfway to set the automatic focus.
5)
Once the focus is set, the focus frame color will turn from red (unfocused) to green (focused).
If the focus frame color is red and you press the Shutter button down, it might result in a
blurred photo.
6)
Press the Shutter button down fully to capture the image.
Playback button to turn the power on.
