If the A n t i - J a c k i n g option has been programmed (ask your dealer if you would like
to have this option) and the Ignition-Kill has been installed , the Panic Mode works
as Anti-Jacking if the key is in the ignition. If Anti-Jacking mode is activated while key
is in the ignition, a) the siren will go off for 1.5 minutes, and b) the Ignition-Kill
will be activated after the first 30 seconds. This is to give a 30 second warn-
ing to the hijacker, then to disconnect the ignition to stop the vehicle.
Valet Mode
Whil e the vehicle is i n valet mode, the only features that will functi o n will be the keyless
entry and optional auxi l iary functions.
In order to enter Valet mode, press the

the igniti o n on and off

Timer Start Mode
In Ti m er Start Mode, your car automati c all y starts every 1.5 or 3.0 hours, depending on
preset options during the time of install a ti o n, for a 24-hour period. This mode is cancell ed
automaticall y after 24 hour s or once you start your vehicl e wi t h the key or remote. In order
to enter Timer Start Mode, press the

Safety Shut Down Features
The CompuStar R1700-F900 system has several shut down safety features.
The following actions will shut down the engine or prevent the car from auto-starting
: Opening the hood, pressing the brake, or if valet mode is turned on.
OPTIONAL PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
These additional features may be programmed to the CompuStar system by your
authorized CompuStar dealer.
Ignition Lock
Automatic Transmission Vehicles:
This progammabl e option wil l automati cally lock the vehicle doors once the key i s in the
i gni ti on and the brake pedal i s pressed. The doors will unlock as soon as the key is
rem oved from the i g niti o n.
Manual Transmission vehicle:
This progammabl e option wil l automatically lock the vehicle doors once the key i s in the
ignition and the brake pedal i s pr essed. The doors will automati call y unlock when the
emer gency brake is set whil e the vehi c le is running with the key.
Passive Locking
You can tur n this functi o n on or off by pressi ng the
second. When set to passive locki n g, your system will lock automatical l y, 30 seconds
after all the doors/ hatch have been closed.
Turbo Mode
If this optional Turbo Mode has been programmed at the time of installation,
