2. Place the batteries into the battery
compartment as indicated by the
polarity symbols (+ and –) marked
inside.
3. Be sure the rubber seal around the
battery compartment is properly
positioned, then replace the cover
and tighten the screw.
Replace all four batteries if the transmit-
ter's indicator lights dimly or not at all
when you press any button on the trans-
mitter.
Warning: Dispose of old batteries
promptly and properly. Do not burn or
bury them.
Caution: If you do not plan to use the
door chime for a two week period, re-
move the batteries. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can destroy electronic
parts.
Testing the Chime
Before

tem

Mounting the Transmitter

Mount the transmitter within 50 feet of
the receiver using the supplied mounting
hardware. Depending upon the mount-
ing surface material of your home (wood
siding, brick face, and so on), you might
need to c onsult your local hardware
store for a different type of mounting
hardware.

resistant, it is not waterproof. If you
are mounting the transmitter out-
doors, select a location that provides
