Settings

Before you can send or receive messages using your phone, you must
configure their settings first. This information is normally pre-populated in
the phone by your service provider.
Press the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, and then select

Common Settings

Select [Menu], select
2.Messaging,
Settings, and press the [OK] key.

To set up common message settings, use the following functions:

Default Edit
Mode: Set in Alphabet mode (Multi-tab mode) or
Predictive mode (T9 mode).
Save
Messages: If set as On, the sent message will be stored in the
[Sent].
Auto Delete Read
Message: If setting is on and the inbox is full,
handset deletes the oldest read message and saves the new message
when it receives a new message.

Text Message

Press the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select
2.Text
Message, and press the [OK] key.

To set up default Text Message information, use the following

functions:

Message
Center: Store or change the number of your message center
that is required when sending a message.
8.Settings.
select 8.Settings, select
1.Common
E-mail
Gateway: Store or change the number of your e-mail gateway
required when sending an e-mail.
Save
to: Set the text message storage to SIM or phone. This option
might not be available depending on your SIM card.

Multimedia Message

Press the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select
3. Multimedia
Message, and press the [OK] key.
To set up default Multimedia Message information, use the following
functions:
Message Center:
Store or change the address of your message
center that is required when sending a message.
WAP
Profiles: Set up WAP profile settings for multimedia message.
Delivery
Reports: When this option is set to [On], the network informs
you whether or not your message has been delivered successfully.
Read
Report: When this option is set to [On], the recipient's phone
sends a reply to let you know when your message has been read.
Message
Lifetime: Set the duration of time your message is stored at
the message center while attempting to deliver it. You can select one of

Months, or Maximum.

Voice Mail

Press the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select
4.Voice
Mail, and press the [OK] key.
This number is normally pre-populated by your carrier during the activation
