• I mmediately disconnect the drive from the power outlet and
the host PC if
• smoke or an unusual smell is coming from the drive enclosure
• water has entered the drive enclosure or if it becomes wet
• an object has entered the drive enclosure
• the cable has been damaged (in such case replace the cable with
a new one)
Note:
The On/Off power switch does not disconnect the AC adapter from
the electricity network, but just switches off the drive itself.
We therefore recommend that you disconnect the AC/DC adapter
from the power outlet if the drive may not be used for a while in order
to save energy.
If the drive behaves not as expected or if you have doubts about
the electrical safety, please contact the TOSHIBA hotline or an
authorised reseller immediately!
