Select Location Setting and press the OK Key, and then select Unlock Setting or Lock
Setting and press the OK Key [SET].
Note: If Lock Setting is selected, you need to enter the lock code before accessing MENU >
Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Location.
Phone Lock Setting
This option helps to keep your phone from unauthorized use. The use of your phone is restricted
once the phone is locked. You can still make emergency calls when the phone is locked.
1.
Press the OK Key [MENU] > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Phone Security.
2.
Enter the lock code and press the OK Key.
3.
Select Phone Lock Setting and press the OK Key.
4.
Select one of the following options and press the OK Key [SET].
Unlocked: The phone is not locked whenever you power up the phone.
On Power Up: You need to enter the lock code whenever you power up your phone.
Lock Phone Now
Please refer to the section "Locking/Unlocking Your Phone" on page xx.
Restore Phone
This option allows you to permanently erase all user data and reset all settings to factory defaults.
1.
Press the OK Key [MENU] > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Phone Security.
2.
Enter the lock code and press the OK Key.
3.
Select Restore Phone and press the OK Key.
4.
Select Yes and press the OK Key to continue. Select No and press the OK Key to return to
the previous menu.
5.
Enter the lock code again and press the OK Key to restore the phone.
SIM Security
1.
Press the OK Key [MENU] > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > SIM Security.
2.
Enter the lock code and press the OK Key.
3.
Select PIN Code and press the OK Key.
4.
Select PIN Lock to enable or disable the SIM PIN lock. Select Edit PIN Code to change the
SIM PIN code.
To unlock your SIM Card:
1. Select SIM Lock in the SIM Security menu and press the OK Key.
2. Select Unlocked. Enter the SIM unlock code and press the OK Key.
Network Mode
Please refer to the section "Choosing the Network Mode" on page xx.
System Select
1.
Press the OK Key [MENU] > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > System Select.
2.
Choose CDMA Settings or GSM Settings, and select one of the following options.
Manual: Your phone is available for normal operation only in the home network.
Automatic: You can use your phone in the home or roaming network.
NAM Select
This option allows you to select the phone's NAM (Number Assignment Module). Contact your
service provider for more information about the NAM.
