ARRIS has merged the extraordinary features of digital cable — the seemingly endless programming options, interactive program guides, Video on Demand (VOD), and the incredible picture quality and sound of High-Definition TV (HDTV).

    Operation Operation Turning Power On and Off Press the power button on the remote control to turn the IP805-M set-top on or off (standby). Changing Channels You can change channels in three ways: • Press channel on the remote control to step through the channel selection.

    In order to use an RF RCU with the IP805-M, you must first pair the RCU with the IP850-M. The pairing process enables the IP805-M and the RCU to discover each other so that the RCU may transmit commands to the paired IP805-M.

    HDMI output provides video and audio, so no separate audio connections are required if you plan to use your TV’s speakers as the primary audio source. Note: ARRIS recommends certified standard HDMI cables for 1080i or 720p resolutions. A certified high speed HDMI cable is recommended for resolutions of 1080p.

    On-Screen Graphics On-Screen Graphics Your IP805-M can generate graphics that overlay the video programming or fill the entire television screen. Common examples include on-screen menus (such as the User Setting menu), closed captions, and interactive program guides. The set-top overlays these graphics whenever you open a menu, enable closed captions, or scroll through a program grid.

    • Check the batteries in the remote control. Install new batteries if needed. • If you are using an RF remote control with your IP805-M, please ensure that the remote control has been properly paired with the IP805-M. Unlike an infrared (IR) remote control, an RF remote control must be paired with the device it is intended to control.
