B. Installation B.1 Pre-Installation Uncrate the broiler and inspect for shipping damage. Remove the tape securing the machine parts, and install the parts in their proper location. Refer to the Parts and Location section of this manual. If there are obvious or concealed damages to any part of the broiler, please contact your freight carrier. The fac- tory warranty does not cover freight damage.
At rated input the gas supply should deliver a pressure of at least 20 mbar (8" water column) at the broil- er connection for natural gas and 37 mbar (14.8" water column) for propane gas. Incoming gas supply pressure must not exceed 50 mbar (20" water column) for either type of gas. Note: Appliance installation must conform with all local codes.

C.5 Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) The Nieco Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) is a system that operates the broiler at two different energy input rates: High energy input (high gas) for initial warm-up and periods of high volume and low energy input (low gas) for regular operation.
D. Assembly / Disassembly and Cleaning TURN OFF POWER BEFORE BEGINNING CLEANING AND DISASSEMBLY Clear machine of all food products. Allow the machine to run empty for ten minutes in order to burn off the residue on the belt. Turn Main Power and Motor switches off. Allow the machine to cool before beginning disassembly. 9. Remove the Burner Access Cover (H). 10. Slide the Lower Burners out and remove the Protective Shields (I). Clean the shields by scraping off any built-up residue, then soak in soap and water. Clean the shields daily. This will help to prolong the life of the burn- ers and keep the broiler cooking properly.
D.2 Weekly Cleaning 1. Remove the Lower Burners through the access hole in the side of the broiler (A). Clean the Distributor Screen and Venturi in the same fashion as the Upper Burners. Refer to instruction 2 below. 2. Remove the Upper Burners (B) and clean weekly as follows: A.
E. Conveyor Belt Removal Before removing the conveyor belt notice the way the belt runs through the broiler. Also notice the direction the knuckles face. Be sure to reassemble in the same way. 1. Run belt until the Master Link is near the front idler shaft (A).
F. Conveyor Belt Tension Maintain proper tension on the meat and bun conveyor belts to prevent jamming. Bearing spacers (pic- tured below) are supplied with the broiler to make minor tension adjustments. Major tension adjustments are made by removing one or more links from the belt. The diagram on the left shows the spacer in the stored position.
