Quick Installation Guide
Thank you for choosing the Genie NVRPRO Network Video Recorder. The following
quick guide will help you to complete the installation and configuration of the NVR.
Please read the following description carefully.
Œ Pre-installation Notice
Make sure the following items are pre-prepared for installing your NVRPRO8.
Ÿ Network connection
Ÿ Configuration and compatibility of network cameras*
Ÿ Computer for configuring the NVRPRO8
Ÿ 1-8 Hard Disk Drives – must be compatible with your NVRPRO8
Ÿ 1x Slotted screwdriver and 1x Philips screwdriver

 System Requirements
The following are the minimum PC system requirements to operate the NVRPRO8:
Ÿ Operating System
Microsoft® Windows® XP (32-bit) / Vista 7 (32 and 64-bit)
Ÿ Browser
Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7.0 or above (32-bit)
Ÿ CPU
For less than 16-channels:
For more than 16-channels: Intel® i5/i7 CPU 3.3 GHz or above
Ÿ Network
Minimum 10/100 Ethernet (Gigabit Ethernet is recommended)
Note: * We suggest connecting the cameras and NVR to a Gigabit Ethernet switch.
Ÿ Memory
For less than 16-channels: DDR3 4Gb or above
For more than 16-channels: IDDR3 8Gb or above
Graphics Adapter
Ÿ
AGP or PCI-Express, minimum 1024×768, 16 bit colours, 1Gb memory or
above.
Note: We highly recommended using a graphics adaptor which provides higher
than 1024 x 768 resolution in order to experience the full benefits of the software.
