Setup and use Portable Hotspot - Moto E (4th Gen)
How do I setup and use Portable Hotspot?
You can make your smartphone a Wi-Fi hotspot to provide portable, convenient Internet access
to other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
You need to subscribe to Wi-Fi hotspot service to use this feature. Contact your service provider
for additional information.
To setup your smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi power by touching Apps
Off.
2. From the home screen, touch Apps
Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot to turn on the hotspot.
3. Touch Set up Wi-Fi hotspot to change hotspot security and configuration settings:
o Network SSID - Enter a unique name for your hotspot
o Security - Select the type of security you want, and touch Save: WEP, WPA, or WPA2
o Password - Enter a unique password. Other users can access your Wi-Fi hotspot only if
they enter the correct password.
