3.3 Generate Signals

It's easy to generate waveforms with the PropScope. Make sure the DAC/LSA card is plugged in.
By connecting Ch1 to the DAC output (the BNC terminal closer to the PropScope) you'll be able
to measure the signals as you generate them. You can generate standard signals like square,
sine, and sawtooth patterns at variable frequencies, offsets and amplitudes. Amplitude is
measured in peak to peak volts, so a signal with offset 2.5v and amplitude 5v will go from 0 to 5v.
The PropScope is capable of generating signals either in the -1.5 to 1.5v range or 0 to 5v range.
If your offset and amplitude values are outside of that range you'll receive a warning.
Besides generating standard waveforms, you can also generated any waveform that fits into 600
eight-bit samples. Click on the "edit" button after sliding the slider to the "custom" position to
draw your own waveform or load values from files. Shown below is the "Hi Mom" waveform...
