Thank you for purchasing a Leak Gopher and the Philio Mini Gateway. We hope this Quick Start Guide
will help you get going and you home or business protected.
Let's outline what we are going to do...
1. Set up your Philio Gateway. The Philio Gateway allows you to connect to Z-Wave devices in your
house to monitor for leaks, turn off the water automatically and do all kinds of other cool stuff
by adding other Z-Wave devices.
2. Connect your Philio Gateway to your home wireless network so you can operate your devices
from anywhere.
3. Include the Leak Gopher Valve Control, the Leak Gopher Water Sensor, and other Z-Wave
devices in your Z-Wave network.
4. Learn how to Exclude a Z-Wave device just in case you need to know how.
5. Create Scenes to control the Leak Gopher Valve with the push of a button.
6. Create a Macro to have the Philio Gateway monitor your water sensors and turn off the water if
a leak is detected.
1. Setting up the Gateway
Plug the PSC05 into a USB/120VAC adapter
Plug the USB/120VAC adapter into 120VAC outlet
Go to Wi-Fi settings and choose the PSC05 as your wireless network
The password is 12345678
Exit Wi-Fi settings
Download the Philio Home Mate App and install in on your telephone
Open the Philio Home Mate App
Press + Gateway to add your Gateway
Press QR Code
Scan the QR code on the back of the PSC05 with your phone
The Gateway ID is admin
The Gateway password is 888888
Enter the Gateway ID and password
Press Confirm

  • Page 4 If the valve was open it will close Now you have the valve in sync with the APP. Try it some more. Press on and off. Notice valve takes about 9 seconds to open or close. It is not a bad idea to give the valve time to complete its transition before pressing the rocker switch the other way.

The at this time the Philio PSC05 Mini Gateway does not support the Z-Wave Alert Class to verify the vale has indeed closed. The Leak Gopher does support this class and has two limit switches to verify the position of the valve or Alert the controller that it cannot confirm if the valve is open or closed.
  • Page 7 include your Leak Gopher Water Sensor into your Z-Wave network. These instructions should work well with any water sensor but our example is using the Leak Gopher Water Sensor. Now you have a Leak Gopher Water Sensor and a Leak Gopher Valve Control and you can see them under the Sensors screen.
