Washing Rice and Adjusting the Water Level

Measure rice with the Measuring
Cup in the attachment.
• Please see the specifications in P.26 for the
amount of rice that can be cooked at one time.
Wash rice in the Inner Pan
• Wash it thoroughly (Otherwise the rice may
burn or smell like rice bran.)
Adjust the water level for the
menu of your choice
• Adjust water level on a flat surface. (Check the left
and the right sides of the scale mark and adjust it to
the level.)
• Adjust the amount of water by the level scales
according to the softness you prefer. (The water may
boil out while cooking if you put excess amount of it.)
Insert the Power Plug and
open the Lid.
Set the Inner Pan and
close the Lid.
Good example
Approximately 180 ml
(approximately one cup/1 scale)
Wash the rice quickly with
plenty of water, dispose the
water immediately afterwards.
(The rice absorbs water
easily at first.)
Example: When cooking 4 cups of white rice
Add water up
to the scale of
4 cups of white rice.
Power Plug
Collar Element
Wipe off the water on the
outside of the Inner Pan, the
residue on the collar element
and the bottom of the inner pan.
Bad example
Repeat step
to clean out
the bran until the water is
clear.
Level the rice.
