Impact Wrench Operation This impact wrench features a centrifugal clutch which engages when there's enough torque. If you feel that there's no force at all to turn a bolt, pull the trigger in more. Due to the fact this impact wrench uses a 12v battery, there is insufficient power to use a clutch-less system. Once there is enough speed, the clutch will engage. -
