Controls - Driving Controls/ ccelerator Joystick control - To operate, turn on the power. Firstly make sure your wrist is supported on the armrests. If it is not supported, a jolt may cause a movement of the joystick and an involuntary change in direction of speed. Find an open level area with no obstructions to practice controlling the vehicle until you are confident that you can drive safely. -

This will stop the vehicle rolling forwards or backwards. When you start, this brake will automatically disengage. If the battery should go flat this brake automatically engages. The P200 is also fitted with a handbrake on each of the the rear wheels. Push the lever forward to engage each brake. Never leave the powerchair in freewheel without engaging both brakes. -

Elevating Legrest (optional) The P200 powerchair has optional elevating legrests. When fitted these can be used to support your lower leg. To adjust the legrest angle, press the top of the footrest attachment (see photo) to achieve desired angle. When you want to get out of the powerchair, press the top of the footrest attachment (see photo) and the footrests will lower to the driving position. -
