OVERFLOW ERROR
When an overflow error is detected. all the keys except
the
M
key
are
electronically
locked.
To
clear the error,
depress
the
fa
key
and then the succeeding
operation is
possible.
An overflow error takes
place
in
the
following cases:
1.
In
the calculation without using the
memory,
when the integer
portion
of the
result exceeds 8
digits.
2.
In
the memory calculation, when the
integer
portion
of the number to be added
to the
memory
exceeds 8 digits.
3.
In
the memory calculation. when
the
integer portion of the number stored
in
the
memory
exceeds
8 digits after adding to
it
the
number whose integer portion is
less thlin 8
digits.
4.
When the
number
is
divided by zero.
5. When the square root
extraction
is
performed
for the negative number.

As for
the
cases
1
and 2, the
upper
significant
8
digits
of the result is first divided by

(100000000)
and then
displayed on
the
display
tube, and
an overflow error

Therefo
re,
the
decimal
point of the
d isplayed
number means the unit of
one
hundred
million. While as for
the
cases 3, 4
and
S, the
display
tube
is
occupied
by
zero and
the overflow error

mbol

turns on.
However, in
all
the
cases
1 to
5, the memory retains the contents
before
the overflow
error is
detected
.
UBERLAUFFEHLER
Sobald
etn
Oberlauffehler auftritt, werden aile Tasten automatisch
gesperrt mit
Ausnahme der Taste
PI
. Zur Loschung des
Oberlauffehlers
wird die
Taste
fa
gedriickt, worauf mit
dem Rechnen
fortgefahren werden kann.
Ein
Oberlauffehler tritt auf:
1. Wenn bet Rechnen
unter
Nichtverwendung des
Speichers
der
ganzzahlige
Teil
des
Resultats 8 Stellen
iiberschreitet.
2.
Wenn bei Rechnen unter Verwendung des Speichers der
ganzzahlige Teil
der
Zahl,
welche
zum Speicherinhalt zu addieren ist, 8 Stellen iiberschreitet.
