15347 LEFT PIER
15348 RIGHT PIER
In order to properly set-up and assemble the complete Modern Gathering Entertainment Wall System, the following steps should be followed. Listed directly
below are the basic steps but the detailed instructions given on the following pages must be referenced for more complete set-up instructions. Two people are
required in order to safely and properly assemble the Wall System.
Note #1: While unpacking each piece check all packaging materials for small parts which may have come loose during shipping. Do not discard any packaging materials until all
parts and hardware have been accounted for.
Note #2: In order to simplify performing Step 7 below, as the TV Console and Pier Cabinets are being unpacked, place these pieces on their back and install the Bolts and Washers
underneath the bottom front edges, as referenced in Step 7 below.
Step 1:
A. Unpack the TV Console (B) and move it to be near the wall where it will be used in the room. There should be a few inches left between the TV Console and
wall.
B. Attach the Top Back Rail (F) for the Back Panel across the top back edge of the Console, using the Allen Head Bolts (H3) and the Flat Washers (H6). Tighten
with the L-Allen Wrench (H25).
Step 2:
A: Unpack each Pier Cabinet.
B: Attach a T-Wood Block (H18) to the back of each Pier Cabinet with the Allen Head Bolts (H3) and the Plastic Washer (H9) as shown in the diagram. Tighten
snug but not tight, with the Allen Wrench (H25). The T-Block must be able to be pivoted later.
C: Carefully move Pier Cabinets to the ends of the TV Console. Check that the top and base moldings of the Pier and Console are in line with each other. There
are levelers mounted underneath the front corners of the TV Console and Pier Cabinets which can be used to align the TV Console and Pier Cabinets if
needed.
Step 3: In order to minimize the risk of the Wall System accidentally tipping forward and causing personal injury and damage, it is highly recommended that the
Wall System be anchored to the wall behind using the Furniture Tipping Restraints attached to the back of each Pier Cabinet and TV Console. Follow the
instructions on the Tip Restraint package for mounting the Brackets but do not connect the straps until the Wall System has been completely set up.
Step 4: Connect the Pier Cabinets to the ends of the TV Console using the Allen Head Bolts (H2), Spring Washers (H5), Flat Washers (H6) and Connector Nuts
(H4) as shown in the diagram. Tighten with the L-Allen Wrenches (H25).
Step 5:
A. Unpack the Bridge and Back Panels. Carefully stand the Back Panels on their end, leaning the back side against the wall behind the TV Console. Installing the
Back Panels will be the last step in setting up the wall system.
B. Attach Flat Metal (H16) to the top of the Bridge using the Allen Head Bolds (H1), Spring Washer (H5), Flat Washer (H7). Tighten with the L-Allen Wrench
(H25).
Step 6: Using two people very carefully position the Bridge between the Pier Cabinets, resting the Flat Metal attached on each end of the Bridge on the top of the
Piers, and connect units together using the Allen Head Bolts (H2), Spring Washers (H5), Flat Washers (H6) and Connector Nuts (H4) as shown in the diagram.
Tighten with the L-Allen Wrench (H25).
Step 7: If not already installed at the beginning of the assembly, partially install the twelve Hex Head Bolts (H10), Spring Washers (H5), and Flat Washers (H7)
into the inserts located underneath the front edge of the TV Console and both Pier Cabinets. Only install Bolts a couple turns each until the next step.
Step 8: Install the Bottom Door Track (H22), with the narrow leg of the 'L' pointed up, onto the Hex-Head Bolts, on top of the Flat Washers installed in the
previous step as shown. After sliding the Track onto the Bolts, move the Track to the right to lock in position. Tighten Bolts with the Open Wrench (H23).
Step 9: Attach one Upper Door Track (H21) on the left-hand side using the Hex Head Bolts (H12), Flat Washers (H7) and Steel Sleeves (H14) into the four middle
holes of the track. Attach one L-Door Stop (H15) at the left-hand end of the track using the same Bolt, Washer and Sleeve as before. Tighten with the Open
Wrench.
Step 10: Attach the Door Roller Assemblies (H17) to both Doors (G) using the Hex Head Bolts (H11), Flat Washers (H7), Flat Washers (H8) (Note: The Flat
Washers is bigger and puts after the door), Spring Washers (H5) and Nuts (H13) but do not fully tighten these Bolts because adjustments will be made after the
doors are hung. Assemble the Door Bar Pulls (H20) to the outside of the Doors using the Allen Head Bolts (H2), Spring Washes (H5), Flat Washers (H7). Tighten
with L-Allen Wrench (H25).
Step 11: Slide both Doors (G) onto the Top Door Track and Bottom Door Track, sliding the doors all the way to the left end until they stop.
Step 12: Install the other Top Door Track onto the Right Hand Pier and across the Bridge as in Step 9. Slide the Doors apart.
Step 13: To set the Door tracking, place the two Spacer Blocks (H19) between the top edge of the Left Hand Door and bottom edge of the Top Door Track. Hold
down on each Door Roller while also lifting the Door. Tighten the Bolts securing the Door Roller Assembly to the Door. Repeat for the Right Hand Door.
Step 14. Attach the other three L-Door Stops (H15) at the ends of the tracks positioned as shown, using the same Bolts and Washers as used to mount the Upper
Door Tracks in Step 9. Slide the two Doors together, adjusting the middle Door Stops where the Doors touch each other at the middle. Slide each Door to the
outside end of the completed wall assembly, adjusting the Door Stops so the doors are flush to the outside ends.
Step 15: Slide both Doors together again to check for proper alignment and for uneven gaps between the doors from the top to the bottom. If the Doors are not
aligned correctly, loosen the bolts attaching one of the Rollers on one Door, making necessary adjustments and retighten the bolts.
Step 16: Working from the front of the Entertainment Wall System, reach over the TV Console, lift and install one of the lower Back Panels (D) into the Top Back
Rail (F) mounted on the back of the TV Console. Pivot the T-Wood Block at each end to be vertical over the top edge of the Back Panel.
Step 17: Place the Back Panel Rail (E) onto the top edge of the Lower Back Panel. Lift the upper Back Panel, placing the top edge into the rail mounted at the lower
back edge of the Bridge, pull forward and then lower the bottom edge into the top groove of the Back Panel Rail.
