Serial Port
The serial port allows a PC or other terminal to control and read the VIA
Bravo MRI unit. Use of VIA Director Software is highly recommended.
Connect VIA Bravo MRI to PC with DB9F to 1/8 inch stereo plug serial port
cable AEA PN 0070-1201.

Serial input is a 1/8 inch stereo jack. Tip = RD (from VIA Bravo MRI to

Power Requirements
Using the AEA wall power pack (PN 5001-0201) is recommended to
supply the DC input to the VIA Bravo MRI unit.

Positive polarity is applied to the center pin of the power jack for proper
operation.

9.1.4.3.2 Battery Power
If battery power must be used, only use an external battery pack that will
sit outside the magnetic field. A sealed lead acid battery will avoid the
dangers of being pulled into the magnet, but you must still keep the battery
away from the field to prevent excessive discharge and heat. Operating a
battery too close to the magnet will present a safety hazard (internal heating).
The lead acid battery(s) should connect to the VIA Bravo MRI using the
power jack next to the RF connector. To recharge the battery(s), disconnect
the batteries from the VIA Bravo MRI.
