You may wish to release the PDC-2000 camera from
computer control so you can operate it via the controls on the
camera and store pictures in the camera without
disconnecting the camera from the computer.
To release the camera from computer control, use these steps:
1 Start an image-processing application compatible with
Photoshop plug-in modules or start Polaroid PDC-2000
Direct.
2 If you are using PDC-2000 Direct, skip to step 3.
If you are using an image-processing application, choose
Acquire from the File menu, then choose PDC-2000.
3 If the Set Preferences window is not visible, click the Set
Preferences button to display it.
4 To release the camera from computer control, click the
Release Camera button (or hold down the
the R key).
A Release Camera dialog box appears.
5 If you expect to restore the camera to computer control soon,
leave the dialog box open.
To return to the image-processing application or exit from
PDC-2000 Direct, click on the Quit button.
6 After releasing the camera, refer to Chapter 3 for camera
operating instructions.
WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAMERA OR
DISCONNECT IT FROM THE COMPUTER AFTER IT
HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM COMPUTER CONTROL.
DOING SO COULD DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER OR
CORRUPT DATA ON YOUR HARD DISK.
