Maintenance note ● Wrong No submerged No high-pressure-water No installation in erosive place Installation / User’s Guide...
Page 10
Right Water resistance Use soft waterish cloth to clean cover No erosive objects in installation place Note It is capable to water resistance, but no submerged. Don’t use high-pressure-water upward to the dome. Installation place should avoid erosive water (e.g. air-condition water) dropped to the dome. Installation / User’s Guide...

Don’t install unit when power “ON” ● Wrong Don’t install unit power “ON” Right Note Don’t install unit when power ON. During the process of installation, the power supply must be (unplug) at OFF status. Installation / User’s Guide...
Page 13
Don’t forcibly turn camera by hand ● Wrong When testing speed dome camera, don’t forcibly turn camera by hand, as it will cause problems to the camera. Right Control equipment (e.g. keyboard, DVR) is required to control the camera movement. Note When testing the speed dome with movements, the control equipments are required.

Notice 1. Video signal’s transmission distance is 300m by using coaxial-cable. Please use video compensator or optical cable transmission facilities. When distance is required conger than 300M. 2. Please use twisted-pair wire for RS-485 data transmission. 3. If RS-485 transmission distance is further than 1200m, please use signal repeater or signal distributor.

4. Surface mount installation guide Mount hardware Ceiling Driving-unit Installation Screw-base configuration Step 1 (1) To mount the bracket to the ceiling , the ceiling needs to be excavated. (2) The diameter for the mount hardware should be between 175mm~180mm. (3) The thickness of the ceiling should be between 5mm ~20mm.
Page 22
(1) Please release the screws attached under the mount hardware to it’s most flexibility.(In case of mounting on the 20mm ceiling). (2) Push the hardware up to the most-upper-position of the excavated ceiling, and meanwhile ,the clips will be stuck on the ceiling. (3) Fasten the released screws and then the clip will fix on the ceiling.

V. Settings 1. Dome Address, Transmission Speed, Protocol Setting Before the dome is installed, the communication protocol, baud rate and dome address, should be confirmed. Set the Dip switches to keeping the setting consistent with the control system. The relative code switch site and connecting wires are diagramed below for reference.
2. Speed Dome Camera Address Setting The address code (Cam ID) for the speed dome must to be properly set before use to ensure accurate addressing of the domes for control at center. The address code is made up of SW201 (8-bits) dip switch on PCB board. The 8-bit switch uses the 8421 binary coded decimal system;...
3. Speed Dome Camera Communication Protocol Setting The 1st, 2nd and 3rd bits in SW202 are used to set communication protocol (see following figure) Restore Daisy chain Note After establishing the communication protocol, please restart the unit to save the ◆...
5. Restore the factory default Please keep the dip switch at the position” off” when using the speed dome. The switch is designed to restore the factory default, and it is advised to be controlled by the engineers of distributor locally. After operating this function, all the previous settings will be removed.
7. RS-485 Bus Matching Resistance For better centralized control, a matching resistance should be set in parallel via RS-485 interface at the speed dome that is farthest from the center controller. By doing this, those signal reflection and interference from the RS-485 signal and the like can be cleared up. There is a switcher for controlling of the matching resistance at the end of SW202 on the PCB board.
8. AC/DC power supply The default power supply is AC 24V, if you choose to power with DC24V, please shift the power code AC 24 + (red colored) to DC 24V input on the drive board, and also shift the power code AC24 –...
VI. User’s Operation The Speed Domes have been implemented and compatible to PELCO (D/P type) protocol that works with all devices such as DVR, Video Servers, PC, and keyboards that compatible to the same protocol for system integration and operation handy. 1.
Note: When the followings occur, the speed dome may not be able to focus properly: When the object is not at the camera's viewing center; With complicated front and background, the good focusing can not be ensured for all. The taken object is too bright—if it is lit by the laminator such as spotlight, neon-lamb, etc. Fast-moving object Objects stay behind glasses with water-drops or covered by a layer of dust A big plain object and dull in color or background—such as a plain wall...
4. PATTERN Function With the PATTERN feature, it can unite PRESET #1 ~ #10 to group a pattern and perform the presets in order continuously. Execute PATTERN function Press the PATTERN function key on the controller to activate the PATTERN function. Note: (1) The PATTERN function is to group the PRESETs from #1 to #10 and perform all position orderly continuously.
Right Limit position: Press 93 + preset keys to save the finish point of the scanning function Execute the Scanning function: with the following options (1) At Middle speed: Press 99 + preset keys or Auto Scan key , the speed dome will move in between of the start and the finish point at middle speed.
