Front Suspension Adjustments

Shock Valving

Some shocks can be revalved if spring preload alone isn't sufficient and
further adjustment is desired to control suspension stiffness.
your Polaris dealer.
WARNING
Changing shock valving requires special tools and a sound knowledge of
mechanical theory, tool use, and shop procedures to perform the work safely
and correctly. Shocks contain high-pressure nitrogen gas. Use extreme cau-
tion when handling high-pressure service equipment. We recommend that
this work be performed by a Polaris dealer.

Shock Compression Damping

Turn the adjustment knob (or screw) to
make adjustments to the compression
damping. When adjusting, we recommend
that you turn the knob only one click (turn
the adjustment screw only slightly), then
test ride. Always adjust both shocks
equally.
IQ and SwitchBack Models
The standard setting is 10 clicks from the
full stop position.
• Turn the knob clockwise (A) for a
stiffer ride.
• Turn the knob counterclockwise (B) for a softer ride.
LX and Touring Models
• Turn the adjustment screw clockwise (A)
for a stiffer ride.
• Turn the adjustment screw counterclock-
wise (B) for a softer ride.
