3 Twist the round protective cap
on the lancet several times and
pull gently to remove it.
4 Put the cap back onto the lancet
device. The cap fits when the
notch on the cap is aligned with
the center of the semicircular
cutout. It should easily snap
into place.

5 To adjust the depth setting, turn
the cap. You will see numbers
and dots in the semicircular
cutout area. Dots represent half
settings.
First-time users should select 1
or 2 to see if the blood drop is
adequate for testing. Turn the
cap until you see the setting you
want.
