    Installation Precautions No open fl ame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the radio. Avoid installing the unit in locations such as: • Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters, or on top of other stereo equipment that radiates excess heat.

    Listen to an External Audio Source Turn on the radio and adjust volume. Use a Ç-inch (3.5 mm) audio cable (not supplied) to connect the earphone jack on your auxiliary audio source to AUX IN on the back of the radio. The radio automatically switches to auxiliary mode and the display shows AU.

    Storing Preset Stations You can store 10 FM, 10 AM, and 5 Weather (WX) stations. Press AM/FM/WX repeatedly to select a radio band. Tune your desired station. Press MEMORY to enter programming mode. MEM fl ashes on the display screen. Press a number button (1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9, 5/0) to store a preset in locations 1 to 5.
